Federal Audio in partnership with "PUT IT ON LAY-BUY"- powered by PayPal, provides quick and easy layby terms for you to be able to purchase and manage your payments online for up to a 3 month period with the security and peace of mind of using PayPal secure pay.
How does the system work?: Once you have added all the products you wish to purchase to your cart, proceed to the check out and complete the delivery/purchasing fields as if completing a normal sale. Once you have proceeded through to the payment portal in the check out you will then be presented with all the available secure payment options provided by Federal Audio.
Simply check the "PUT IT ON LAY-BUY" Tab and follow these instructions.
CHECKOUT
Payment Method: Consumer is presented PUT IT ON LAY-BUY powered by PayPal in the merchant's checkout. - Select Method
Confirm Order: Consumer selects down-payment of a minimum of 20% (Maximum of 50%) to pay on the day of purchase and how many months they wish to pay-off the balance - Up to 3 Months.
PayPal: Consumer is then taken to PayPal's landing page
Consumer pays the down-payment (on day of purchase) with their PayPal account or their credit card.
PayPal then sets up the LAY-BY payment plan between the consumer and merchant.
PayPal then sends two email notifications to merchant and consumer. (One for the down-payment and another that a payment plan has been setup)
Note: if buyer does not have a PayPal account, they will need to pay with their credit card on the day of purchase and a PayPal account is setup for the LAY-BY payment plan.
ORDER
Order Placed (Pending): Down-Payment monies are paid into merchant's PayPal account and an order is placed at Federal Audio with status 'pending'. LAY-BY payment plan.
Payment Plan: The installment payments are captured on their due date from PayPal / Lay-Buys server and updates the payment plan automatically.
Order Updated (Processing): Once final installment payment is paid on the due date from the PayPal / Lay-Buys server. The payment plan profile is cancelled in PayPal so no more monies are auto paid from the consumer's PayPal account. The payment plan in LAY-BUY is then updated from status' pending' to 'complete' and PayPal sends notification to both buyer and merchant that the payment profile in PayPal has been completed, so no more automated payments will be paid from buyer.
Order Fulfilled: Merchant delivers product/s to consumer.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Revise a Lay-By: A consumer can revise a LAY-BY order at any time while the LAY-BY is in 'pending' status.
The process involves the merchant revising the payment plan from the Merchant Portal.
The revise feature enables consumer to settle outstanding balance today via a 'buy-now' option or extend the term of the LAY-BY (Up to the maximum 3 month period) via a 'lay-by' option
When a payment plan is revised by a merchant in the merchant portal, the consumer is sent an email with an embedded payment link.
At this time the payment plan status is changed to 'revise requested' until payment is made by consumer. The consumer then clicks on the payment link, is taken to PayPal and then makes payment.
If the revision was in settlement (buy-now), then processes 3 and 4 under the subheading order section (above) are triggered.
If revision was to extend the LAY-BY, then a down-payment is paid on the day and a new payment plan is populated in the LAY-BY App against the same Federal Audio order number.
The payment plan status for the revised plan then changes to 'revised' and the new payment plan has a status 'pending'. The 'pending' plan is then the new payment plan for the Federal Audio order. The Federal Audio order number remains the same and PayPal then sends an email notification to the merchant and consumer for these payments.
Cancel a Lay-By: A consumer can cancel a LAY-BY order at any time while the LAY-BY is in 'pending' status. The process involves the merchant cancelling the order from within the store admin. When an order is cancelled, no refund is done. The cancel feature involves the merchant cancelling the payment plan within PayPal and refunding the consumer all the monies paid to-date for the LAY-BY, less the 'cancellation fee', 'merchant' and 'restocking fees' that have been stipulated in the Terms & Conditions. PayPal then sends email notifications to the merchant and consumer that the payment plan has been cancelled.
Refund a Lay-Buy: As stated above, all refunds are done from within PayPal for your security and peace of mind.
